The Gift of Foot Care is a community-supported program that provides professional in-home foot care to local seniors who might otherwise go without it.
Together, neighbors help neighbors stay comfortable, mobile, and independent.
Over the years, I've met many older adults who simply had no safe way to care for their feet.
Sometimes transportation was the barrier.
Sometimes finances.
Sometimes there wasn't family nearby to help.
One client had gone more than two years without having their toenails trimmed because they could no longer drive and didn't want to burden their family.
A simple foot care visit brought immediate comfort - but more importantly, it restored dignity and independence.
That experience reminded me that routine foot care shouldn't depend on someone's ability to travel or afford another expense.
That's why I created the Gift of Foot Care.
