đź’¬ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Is this podiatry?
A: Nope. I’m a nurse, not a podiatrist. I don’t do surgery, dig out ingrown nails, or prescribe meds. I provide routine, preventive foot care — safe trims, skin checks, moisturizing, and education. If I see something concerning, I’ll refer you to a podiatrist or doctor.
Do you accept insurance or Medicare?
A: No — this is a private-pay service. Most insurance doesn’t cover routine nail/skin care unless there’s a major medical issue. My visits are priced to be affordable and consistent, without the red tape. This allows me to give clients personalized care without insurance restrictions. You can request a receipt for HSA/FSA or reimbursement purposes.
How often should seniors get foot care?
A: Most of my clients schedule every 6–8 weeks. That keeps toenails at a safe length, prevents dry/cracked heels, and catches any issues early.
Is it safe for people with diabetes?
A: Yes — in fact, diabetics benefit the most. Every visit includes a skin and circulation check, plus careful trimming and moisturizing. I also document changes and can refer to a doctor if needed.
What if my parent can’t leave the house?
A: No problem — I come to you. I provide care at home, in assisted living, or in senior centers. I bring my own supplies and keep things clean and professional.
Can I book for a family member?
A. Yes. Family members or caregivers may schedule on behalf of clients as long as consent and contact information are provided and the client is aware of the payment requirement.
What about infection control?
A: I follow strict nursing standards — single-use files, sterilized instruments, gloves, and proper hand hygiene. Safety first, every time.
How long does a visit take?
A: Usually 45–60 minutes depending on the package and the client’s needs.
What’s the cost?
A: Prices vary and and are listed transparently on the service menu along with any additional costs that you may incur.
Q: How do we book?
A: Call or text me at 448-488-4345, message me here or simply click one of the "BOOK NOW" buttons placed throughout the site. I’ll get you on the schedule and keep you on a repeating rotation if you’d like.
Where do you provide services?
I currently serve clients within Washington, Holmes, and Jackson Counties, Florida. Visits beyond 35 miles from Chipley may include a small travel fee.
What types of services do you offer besides foot care?
I provide in-home nursing care including foot care, wound care, medication setup, wellness checks, coordination of care, illness and post-op support, injection support and palliative-style support. I also offer educational resources and wellness guidance under the Florida RN scope of practice.
Do you replace my doctor or home health agency?
No. I complement your existing healthcare team. I don’t replace your provider, prescribe medication, or operate under insurance billing. I help you manage your health between visits — safely and independently.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept credit/debit cards via Square, Zelle, CashApp, Apple Pay, PayPal and cash. Checks are not accepted unless previously approved.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. Same-day cancellations or no-shows incur a $25 fee and may require deposits before scheduling another appointment. Repeated cancellations or no shows may lead to termination of the service agreement.

Do you provide emergency or on-call services?
No. I’m not an emergency provider. For urgent or life-threatening issues, call 911 or visit your nearest emergency department.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. I’m a licensed registered nurse in the state of Florida, operating under the Florida Board of Nursing with professional liability insurance coverage.
Why do wound care visits require a doctor’s order and my own supplies?
Wound care must be performed under active MD orders to stay within nursing scope and ensure safe and appropriate treatment. I use your prescribed supplies to keep care consistent with your provider’s plan and to prevent product reactions or delays in healing.
I bring the skill, documentation, and follow-up — you provide the doctor’s orders and supplies.
đź’¬ More About Nurse Dawn
Who is Nurse Dawn?
I'm a nurse, a straight shooter, and a mama on a mission. I'm here to help families stay well, heal naturally, and cut the crap—both in the medicine cabinet and in life.
Are you an actual nurse?
Yes. I’m a licensed nurse who stepped away to focus on what actually matters—healing, entrepreneurship, and concierge-level care that puts people first. No more bandaid-on-a-broken-leg systems. I'm doing things my way now.
What does Nurse Dawn offer?
A little of everything: wellness wisdom, no-filter education, bold books for kids, clean merch, and a way out of burnout through a side hustle that actually makes sense.
Is this medical advice?
Nope. I’m a nurse, not your doctor. Nothing here is meant to replace medical care. It’s education, inspiration, and empowerment.
Nope. I’m a nurse, not your doctor. Nothing here is meant to replace medical care. It’s education, inspiration, and empowerment.
Why did you start Nurse Dawn, LLC?
After almost two decades in traditional healthcare, I was done watching people fall through the cracks. Between burnout, red tape, and rushed care, I knew there had to be a better way. Nurse Dawn, LLC was built to bring nursing back to what it’s supposed to be — personal, honest, and hands-on.
What makes concierge nursing different?
Concierge nursing is care on your terms — no waiting rooms, no middlemen, no insurance runaround. It’s professional nursing brought straight to your home, with time to listen, teach, and actually care.
Do you offer wellness advice or products too?
Yes, but I keep it real. I share education, resources, and clean-living tools that support your overall health. Nothing hypey, nothing salesy — just what works.
Are your visits only for seniors?
Nope. I work with adults of all ages — from those recovering after surgery to people who simply want private, consistent care at home.
What’s the “No Drama” about?
It’s simple: life’s hard enough without extra nonsense. I built this brand on honesty, humor, and getting things done without excuses. You’ll always know what I can (and can’t) do — no guessing, no sugarcoating.
đź‘• Nurse Dawn Merch
Do you design all the merch yourself?
Most of it, yep. If it doesn’t pass the Nurse Dawn vibe check—meaning it’s bold, wearable, and something I’d actually rock—it doesn’t get printed.
Where is the merch made and shipped from?
Everything is print-on-demand, made in the U.S. or nearby depending on the item. I hand-pick vendors that meet quality standards and, when possible, choose items made in the USA. You’ll get tracking as soon as your order ships.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Because each piece is custom-made just for you, all sales are final. But if something shows up damaged or incorrect, reach out right away—I’ll help you get it fixed.
Can I buy merch locally?
Not right now. Everything’s online so it can stay easy, affordable, and accessible anywhere.
Do you use affiliate links or Amazon finds?
Yep. Some of the items or recommendations I share (like books, wellness gear, or home favorites) may include affiliate links—meaning I might earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. I only share stuff I personally use or genuinely recommend.
So what’s “print-on-demand,” anyway?
It means your order is made just for you once you hit “buy.” No dusty stockrooms, no overprinting. It keeps things sustainable, reduces waste, and makes sure every piece you get is freshly printed and brand new.
📚 Nurse Dawn Book Series
What’s the Nurse Dawn book series about?
Real talk for little ones. Nurse Dawn doesn’t do drama—and neither should the school nurse’s office. These are rhyming, funny, truth-telling stories that help kids learn about boundaries, health and to stop faking it.
Are these books for teachers or parents?
Both. And school nurses. Anyone. Book #1 is almost ready—stay on my email list or follow my page for pre-order updates and launch info.
Will there be more books in the series?
Oh yes. Llamas, band-aid bandits, sports injuries, drama queens, mental health, and more. We’re just getting started.

đź’¸ Side Hustle + Income Support
What is the side hustle you keep talking about?
A clean wellness membership that pays you back. Think organic products, no B.S. ingredients, and a way to get out of paycheck-to-paycheck life without selling your soul. Everything is made in USA and third party tested for heavy metals and contaminants, each with certificates of analysis available right on the website.Â
Is it one of those MLM things?
It’s affiliate-based—no big buy-ins, no inventory, no “team call guilt trips,” and no overpriced junk. You don't have to sell products at all, but you can if you want to. You just share what you love and get paid when people join. Simple.
Do I have to sell something to join?
Nope. You can just be a customer and enjoy the products. But if you want to share and earn, the option is always there.
How do I get started?
Message me or hit the “Work with Me” section. I’ll send you the info and walk you through it—no pressure, no weird vibes.
Can I actually make money with this?
Yes—if you show up consistently, stay authentic, and don’t quit after two weeks. It’s not magic, but it works.
